From the Liberty Bell to Independence Hall, discover Philadelphia’s iconic landmarks where a nation was born.
Begin your adventure with a morning departure and travel to Chicago. Step aboard a Chicago River Architectural Cruise and marvel at more than 40 world-famous landmarks including Tribune Tower, Wrigley Building, and Marina City. Learn how Chicago’s innovative architecture shaped the city’s reputation around the world. Afterward, continue to South Bend, IN for overnight lodging. Dinner is on your own this evening.
After breakfast, journey toward Pennsylvania with a stop in Fremont, OH. Explore the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museum, where the life and legacy of America’s 19th President come alive. Later, enjoy a memorable dinner at the elegant Grand Concourse in Pittsburgh, a city known for its charm and history. Overnight lodging is arranged in the Pittsburgh area.
Following breakfast, travel to Shanksville, PA to visit the Flight 93 National Memorial, a moving tribute to the heroes of September 11, 2001. Continue on to Philadelphia, the birthplace of America, to begin celebrating the nation’s 250th Birthday. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner at a popular local restaurant before checking in for a three-night stay in the heart of the city.
Start the day with breakfast, then meet your local guide for a fascinating three-hour historic tour of Philadelphia. Visit landmarks from the city’s earliest days as the nation’s first capital. This afternoon, explore the Museum of the American Revolution, featuring immersive exhibits and the special Declaration’s Journey 250th anniversary showcase. End the day with a visit to the Betsy Ross House and dinner at another popular restaurant in the city.
After breakfast, visit the National Constitution Center, the nation’s most interactive museum dedicated to “We, the People.” Experience the inspiring multi-media presentation Freedom Rising and walk among the life-size bronze statues in Signers’ Hall. Enjoy free time and lunch in Independence National Historical Park, where you can explore the Liberty Bell, Congress Hall, and Franklin Court. Later, discover the energy of Reading Terminal Market with dinner on your own. End the evening with a special program, An Evening with a Founding Father, bringing history vividly to life.
After breakfast, say goodbye to Philadelphia and begin your journey west. Enjoy comfortable travel aboard your deluxe motorcoach and overnight in Maumee, OH. Dinner is on your own this evening as you relax and reflect on the memories of your trip.
